Large Scale Cropped Portraits

The 8th graders have been working very hard on these portraits for about two weeks. We first took photos of ourselves which we cropped in very tight on one segment of the face. Then we used a grid to enlarge the pictures to 18"X24". After that the students painted them in using a gray scale to mimic the look of our black and white photos. I am very proud of the work these students have done. The paintings turned out great. Check them out below.
